Idris Khan’s solo exhibition Idris Khan: Repeat After Me which took place at the Milwaukee Art Museum from 5 April to 11 August 2024 is accompanied by a special editions’ catalogue.

Idrin Khan: Repeat After Me chronicles the devolpment of the artists’s practice scross more than two decades, from ealry monochromatic ohotographic works that capture the flow of time in still images to a new series of abstract watercolor compositions that encapsulates the essence of iconic paintings of the sixteenth-eighteenth centuries though their use of color. Spanning painting, photographic prints, watercolors, works on memory, time, music, repetition, and ritual, among other themes. Khan’s practice condenses human experience into images that are both tactile and conceptual, imbued with echoes and reverberations that evoke the flow of time in an innovative way.

The catalog features an introduction by Idris Khan and in-depth essays by authors Marcelle Polednik and David Carrier exploring the themes and motifs of Khan's body of work, as well as a conversation with the artist and Edmund de Waal, and is richly illustrated with reproductions of the exhibition's works.
